Our city has become a rubber stamp for development, ... We bend over backwards to welcome developers. I think if we did have someone on the City Council who is somewhat of an environmental activist, that would be a beautiful thing.

We had head of households sign the petitions for themselves and for their family members. We did not know at that time, that each person had to sign it so it would match their signatures on their voter's registration card.

We had a few names that were kicked off the petition, but it was our fault. We are still growing, and we know the rules and what we can and can not do.
