focused rehab tedious
Doing all those tedious things in rehab made me more disciplined and focused on the things I have to do for my tennis.
aware ball best experience focus great martina opponent
Martina is a great champion. But when you're out there, you just focus about what you have to do and not think about who you're playing. When you're younger, you're more aware of who your opponent is. But as you get more experience and you play the best players, you don't think about that. You just focus on the ball and on the game.
focus grand people won
A lot of people just focus on the things that I don't have. I know I haven't won a Grand Slam, but I've won a lot of other things and I've been working very hard.
focus main mind nice situation winning
The No.1 situation wasn't on my mind at all. If it comes, great, I've been there before and it would be a nice way to end the year... but my main focus is just winning each match.
court focused moving opening patient playing stayed throughout
I think I stayed very focused and very patient throughout the whole match, ... Even when I was 4-1 up, I was playing really well at the start. I was moving around, just from side-to-side, opening up the court a lot.
kept mary points tried
Mary kept the points a lot shorter. She tried to go for too much at the Open.
missed realized
That was before my injury. I've realized a lot more how much I missed tennis,
sore walk wrists
The way I walk around, everything is hurting, ... My ankles, my wrists ? everything is sore and making a lot of noise.
injured last playing
Even when I was injured last year, when I started playing again, you get motivated,
hitting stand sure
I'll have to make sure that I stand on the baseline and make sure that I keep hitting aggressively,
beginning change feeling felt lose second sudden tennis
It can change so quickly. That was the frustrating part. I felt like I was controlling the rallies in the first and the beginning of the second set, and all of a sudden you just lose all the feeling of your strokes. That's tennis sometimes.
season
I never thought I could have a season like this.
jumping people prefer relaxed
I prefer people who are relaxed in my box. I don't want people who are jumping up.
cherry feeling great last nice year
After the year I had last year, this is just the cherry on the cake. Obviously, it's a great feeling to get back to No. 1. It's always nice to get there.
