injured last playing
Even when I was injured last year, when I started playing again, you get motivated,
australian match open played week weeks
I want to have a match here so that I don't go into the Australian Open without having played a match for a week and a half, two weeks almost.
clay excuse excuses matches played trained
I don't want to make excuses because I haven't played so many matches and that this was my first match on clay this season. I had trained and I was ready.
enjoying playing
I think that's why I'm playing so well - I'm enjoying myself.
adjust conditions court match outdoors playing pleased quickly tough winning
I'm very pleased with winning my first match here today. It's always tough to adjust to the conditions after playing outdoors the whole summer, but I got used to the court pretty quickly today.
physically player plays powerful reads strong tactically
That's why she's so strong in her game, because physically she's not the most powerful player out there. But she just reads it so well and plays it tactically so well.
arm ball bit feeling great hitting imagine overall playing seeing using
I feel like I'm a little bit restricted, especially with the serve. I feel like I'm just using my arm out there. I feel like I'm not really doing too much with my movement. But overall I feel like I'm hitting the ball well. I'm hitting the ball clean, I'm seeing the ball well. That's why it's even more frustrating because just imagine if I would be feeling fine. It would be a great feeling to have, just playing well and not having too many other things going on.
enjoy great lost matches means playing since twice victory win
I've lost to her some big matches already, ... It's great to win some, as well. Any victory means a lot. For some reason, since my injury, they mean twice as much now. I enjoy it a lot more. I'm playing well. I don't think I could have done much better with my preparation.
improve matches plays reads rhythm tactically
She just reads it so well and plays it tactically so well. I think by getting more matches and more rhythm she's going to improve even more.
injured players sure
I'm sure all the players that are injured are going to be there.
build few likes missing past player
I'm a player who likes to play a lot of matches. That's something I'll have to build up again. The past few months, that has been a disadvantage. That's what I'm missing right now.
matter played won
She started really well. No matter how well I played in the first set, I think she would have won it.
early extra grand motivated nice people player provide talk win
It's too early to talk about that. It was nice the way the people reacted there (in Belgium) after she won. I think that's great. Any player would like to win a Grand Slam. But that doesn't provide any extra motivation. I've always been very motivated at the Grand Slams.
glad good matches playing won
I've been playing well. I've won a lot of good matches here in the past. I'm just glad I'm healthy,
