I remember hugging my dad afterwards and him crying. I remember 'What a feeling associated with victory.' It's the pinnacle of what you do. Boy, it made me want to be a basketball player for my dad in the worst way possible.

It's the story of this season. We've had guys that have stepped up from a lot of different spots and Brady is a guy that is a very talented basketball player and he's getting his opportunity to show everybody else what we already knew about him.

Austin Meier has to be one of the smartest, toughest fourth-quarter players in the state. He just makes play after play down the stretch. His decision-making and timeliness on big plays on both ends have been lifesaving for us.
andy best defensive dominating good offensive player post productive prove
I don't think Andy has anything to prove to anyone. He's as good of a post player as there is in the state. He's productive on the offensive end, he's dominating on the defensive glass. I think he's the best all-around post player in the state.

It adds to the rivalry but it also brings it back to reality and softens some of the edges to it. Certainly this is an intense rivalry and when you have family involved it brings it back to a sportsmanlike level.

Boy, defensively we were just dynamite. That says a lot about our intensity and our will to win. We have just such a determined group of guys.

He was on my mind all day. If there's one thing he taught me, it's OK to be emotional. And certainly, it was an emotional day.

I'm very proud of where this program is at. I'm probably more pleased with how we did it. This team has showed such poise and such class.

I thought we out-toughed them by playing North's game. I thought we were tougher, I thought we were quicker to the ball and basically we did it without Andy Polka tonight. Other guys had big games. This is a big-game team.

I would like to be able to have more preparation time as a coach. The less prep time you have the more you leave the game to chance. The more likely an underdog is going to win that sectional final or a team less drilled in scouting and fundamentals might get through if you have less time to prep.

Our front line is getting the respect and it's certainly well-deserved. But our guards provide so much toughness and so many crucial baskets at key times. They knock down open shots, they provide room for Andy. They are on the floor for loose balls, charges, it's a great group.

They get over it after a while. They are probably so sick of hearing our voices, I'm sure they'd enjoy some down time.
