bit campus failed great lose men needs operated start summer team time
It's a great day. It's time to get the team on campus and start getting better. I think the summer went well. We had two men that failed the conditioning test, one of which was operated on and the other just needs to lose a little bit more weight.
banner early forward great justin terms three
It's early to guess, but I think in terms of our three tailbacks, I think Justin Vincent is going to have a banner year. He's unselfish. He's the right kind of person. He's improving, and I look forward to him having a great year.
eliminate entire practices run start team test
If you can eliminate a 110 test where the entire team has to run 16 110s on a day before you practice, you eliminate having to start your two-a-day practices in a deficit.
beat defense finished football knows played second style tennessee trailing
Our football knows how to play the second half. We finished the game. Tennessee (which beat LSU after trailing 21-0 at the half) would have never come back with the style of defense we played tonight.
defense extremely played
I thought that our defense stymied them all day, and really played extremely well,
apartment both certainly drain family kick people players several
Several of our players have more people (evacuated family and friends) in their apartment than they have any right to have in their apartment. And you can't kick them out because certainly it's the right thing. And they're not sleeping, and some of them don't have their own bed. There's some drain on our players both emotionally and physically.
certainly counting everybody fits games ideas people personnel program share system winning
I think that will continue. I think everybody fits ideas into the system they have and the personnel they're coaching. We share it with people that are friends with our program and will keep it disclosed, so not to give away anything that we're certainly counting on winning games with.
certainly consistent decisions guy kick opportunity performed proved short
He's just a guy who proved to be consistent and performed pretty well. I'm not making any long-term decisions but in the short term, he's certainly going to get an opportunity to kick 'em.
ali bit fine guy kenny moved outside
Spadoni will be a guy that will play a little bit more football. Ali Highsmith and Kenny Hollis, those two will be moved around in those outside spots. We think we'll be fine there.
confident controlled dominant final football game line played season thrilled
I'm thrilled for this football team. They come into the final game of the season with a new quarterback, a very capable, confident young man. And they controlled the line of scrimmage for him and played dominant defense.
great leader player stepped tremendous
Glen Dorsey stepped up. He's going to be a great leader and a tremendous player for us inside.
approach competition determine game guy matt point russell starter time week
The competition is between JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn to start, ... I think we will find that we will approach our game week and our game days, determine who our starter is and at that point in time we'd like to go with one guy from that point forward.
might next team worst
This team (LSU) might be the worst team to play if you're the next team,
change cover degree good press week zone
Those things can be adjusted. There will be a differing degree of 'come get ya' and press and cover one and a good zone attack. That variance will change week to week.
