One of the first things we will do is offer our downtown lights to be sponsored by people. Marilyn Mathews will be heading that up. We will get that information out later. Hopefully next spring Charlie Hartley will be successful with her bridge lighting grant.

Our next step will be that Bruce and I will be meeting with the state economic development people and will get the instructions on how to use the grant money and Bruce will be the administrator.

We will be taking down the old poles and putting up some decorative lighting. We are going to replace the sidewalks on the south side. We would like to also be able to do some work on the drainage problem for the south side businesses.

We started back then and then worked on getting the support of the city council. The most important fact was that the businesses in downtown supported us. Out of the 24 businesses in downtown, 22 supported us.
