As I would learn later in life, money makes you extremely handsome.
It's just connecting with fans and lets them know we recognize that they're responsible for paying all the bills. It's not meant to be a league thing. It's a Dallas Maverick thing.
He is creating a situation that doesn't exist. Maybe he should request that the league release results of officials' performance evaluations so fans, players and owners can see how wonderful a job they actually do. The officials do a good job overall. This would be his opportunity to confirm it to all.
The league handles officiating in a far more professional manner than prior to my arrival. They approach it like a real business unit now.
By the way everybody reacted, everybody knew there was a problem except for the official who got pushed. I'm sure the league will take appropriate action after reviewing it. That's a huge play in this game to have a no-call.
A couple corporate customers of the league . . . were uncomfortable with the appearance of some players. Since the teams couldn't deal with it, they had asked the league to step in and deal with it.

I think one of the biggest curses in the U.S. is that we have only two political parties.
Just the process of exploring the options has been very difficult.
The change has been in place, this has been an extension of it. Under the new rules, flexibility is at a premium as opposed to our approach in years past to accumulate assets to trade. That doesn't work anymore.
He said he would call back the next day. He never did. So we dropped the idea.
Kobe is a top-five player, and he proved it yesterday. I've watched Dirk, McGrady and other superstars take over games. When it happens it's amazing to watch.
For whatever reason, I have gotten to Phil so completely and thoroughly that every time he comes to Dallas he has to offer unsolicited comments about me to the media. I wonder if he dreams about me the nights he spends here in Dallas.
The No. 1 job for a GM at a lot of places is not to win a championship, but to keep their jobs. That's not Avery. And that's not Donnie.
