abruptly created farm good instead letting naturally players run traded
We were at the tail-end of a championship run. Instead of letting that run naturally just play out and transpire, we abruptly traded good players and artificially created an upper-level in our farm system.
obviously talent time
The talent is obviously there, but we want him to get comfortable so that he doesn't think that he has to have a day like that all the time to impress.
bargain best playing team time
I didn't feel like we were going to keep up our end of the bargain of playing time that we had communicated to him. I didn't feel like we could and still put the best team on the field.
improve juncture time unable
As a GM, you always want to improve your team, so you are disappointed at any juncture in time when you are unable to get something done,
align frame good league major team time
He'll be a good major league player. It's just that the time frame didn't align with how this team has matured.
finish himself needs third time
If we didn't have a third baseman, we could go with him, but he needs time at Triple-A to finish himself off.
concerned lose pitchers time
Any time you lose pitchers that have been successful, you are concerned about their replacements.
actual ambitious criticized easy entire far fortunate funny research suggested time turn
It's funny now because, at the time, I was criticized for it being so far away. Our actual research back then suggested it was a very ambitious time frame. We were very fortunate to be able to do it. It's not easy to turn over an entire team.
heck time
That was a heck of a time to go on vacation.
andy close extremely finish given leagues major minor ready third time
If we didn't have a third baseman, Andy could play in the major leagues right now. Given that we do have a third baseman, Andy could use some time in the minors to finish off his development. Defensively, he's major-league ready right now. Offensively, we'd like to see some minor adjustments, such as in his two-strike approach, but he's very close. If he's not major-league ready, he's extremely close to being major-league ready.
fans time walked yelling
I had fans yelling at me every time I walked out of the ballpark,
anybody august coming contending last late looking spring team time year
Every time we go through something, it's a young team and we're going through it for the first time, ... Last year, it was contending late in the season, in August and September. This year ... coming out of spring training, it was the first time anybody was looking at us.
clearer deal easier heading might next value year
It might be an easier deal to do next year because we'll have a clearer sense what the value is heading into the first year of arbitration.
validation
I want it for us , ... not as any validation for me.
