It's a fitting end to a long road. I don't think the middle of my lineup was very inspired today and it took a guy like Ryan to step forward, who really wanted to hit, that's what it takes.

He's a baseball guy, ... He loves working with these kids and being able to make a statement in their lives. He's always said he'd probably never work with older kids because (preteens) still believe everything you tell them. After they turn 14, they know it all.

(In Legion), we had coaches, but they weren't coaches, ... They just filled the lineup card out and hit us ground balls. We never got any coaching like we give our kids. (In softball), I learned a lot about the defensive side and dealing with the men and the boys.

We saw Hawaii against Louisiana, and Louisiana threw a good pitcher at them and held them to just two runs, ... We'll throw (Nathan) Lewis in tomorrow and I feel confident he'll go out and have the same type of game. If we can score four or five runs, we're going to make Hawaii do some sweating.
