I'd really like this to become a showcase for the region.
athlete budgetary budgets caliber close compete course difference event fast georgia hard hope larger level money nowhere offer ours prize racing road terms though tour until
From a budgetary standpoint, we?re nowhere close to the Tour de Georgia or Tour of California. They have budgets around $3 to $4 million. Ours is under $100,000. The difference there is pretty striking. Even though our course and level of road racing in the event mimics those of the larger events, in terms of the prize money we can offer and the caliber of athlete we hope to get to come, we really can?t compete until we have a larger budget. That?s the hard and fast reality. We?d like to get to that budget, but we?re not there yet.

People will race our event simply because of the terrain and scenery in the (Shenandoah) Valley and the people.
competing event feeling perfect pro proper provide realizing riders road stage taste teams value
More and more pro teams are realizing the value of having a development squad, and we provide the perfect event for these young riders not only to have a taste of being a team leader, but also to get the feeling of competing in a proper road stage race.
