Being a part of this, knowing I won't coach here anymore and won't coach these guys anymore was definitely a tough situation. But I'm proud of them, and they can hold their heads up high because they did a great job fighting back.

I think every coach, whether or not they're going to be there next year, anytime they have a group of guys they really love and appreciate, I feel more sadness for them than anyone because they fought hard. They really fought hard over the last month. I'm proud of them.

I should be trying to coach basketball and our guys should be enjoying their college careers. But I don't know if I've had a team that's had positive memories out of this whole deal since I've been here.

I am not going to talk about rebounding because I may jinx us, but it is an effort. We may have set an all-time low in rebounds with 18 at Michigan State, but when you look at it, Marco has had 12 and 10 (rebounds). He is going after rebounds he wasn't going after earlier.

Teams have made adjustments to our point guard not being able to shoot the ball. They haven't played our point guard at all. They've been playing us five-on-four. I wonder why it took so long to make those adjustments. Now I have to make some adjustments.

Not once did any student say anything to me or my staff or team. They're focused on their team. More than anything, students want to go to the middle of the floor to their team. I don't know if it's good or bad.
enjoy fun played practice pressure treat weight
It hasn't been a weight off my shoulders; it's a weight off of (the players' shoulders). To see them play under the pressure they had played under, and now to see them having fun and enjoy practice and enjoy the game, that has been a treat for me to see.
