I'm very proud of him, ... For me, personally, he's certainly one of our very best stories and one of the best baseball stories we've had. I'm always impressed by guys who beat long odds. When you hear these stories of guys who were undrafted as juniors and have beaten the odds by long shots, I think they're great stories.

I think he has just tons of drive, determination and instincts. He has good ability. I think it's unfair to suggest this guy doesn't have ability. He's a very good athlete. I think his tools were simply underevaluated by the scouts out here.

I wasn't thrilled to drive all the way to Indiana and get beat by 37. If we didn't have to, we'd probably play more teams of equal level.

I'm a huge fan of his. His makeup is perfect. He's a worker. His demeanor is always the same; never too high, never too low. He's got no issues (with his temper). He's a jewel.

He's a star. Only an injury keeps him out of the first round (of this year's MLB Draft), only an injury keeps him from being a long-time major leaguer.

Joe Ballard may have been the MVP of the game. He made some big shots and guarded well.

Every player has high expectations for themselves and the team, and it was very frustrating. But I think they recognize that they did do some things well.
