I think that was kind of our focus this week. It's a whole new deal now. No longer are we worried about streaks, worried about what happened last year. Friday night was the start of a new quest. They want to start their own tradition, their own streak if possible. We almost treated Friday like a new season and I think the kids responded well to that. When you can come off the floor after being knocked down, that's big. I think we're headed back in the right direction again.

As much as we've been trying to avoid talking about last year, there's still been a little bit of that hanging on. This was an eye-opening experience for all of them. We're not the same caliber of team that we were last year. This team's capable of that, but we've got to work for it. We're going to have to go toe-to-toe with people and battle it out. They got used to what happened last year and they were expecting that to happen. This team has got to make things happen. I think that's something that was driven home tonight.

It was a tough game for Megan. She actually went down in the fourth quarter and bruised her knee cap. We had some smaller players bumping her when she was in the air. They were a team that played pretty hard.

They came off the ball a lot quicker. They came at us a lot harder. Even when we had openings on offense, the running backs weren't hitting them quick enough and they closed them down, ... We might have to revamp some things, get back to playing fundamental football. That's where Glidden-Ralston beat us. They played better fundamental football.
