august bullpen continue fifth gas guys september starting year
We've been in our bullpen with a lot of regularity this year in the fifth inning or starting the sixth. We've had to use (Julio) Mateo, (J.J.) Putz and (Rafael) Soriano in two-inning stints a lot already this year. If we continue to do that, when we get to August and September and we're in this, those guys are going to be out of gas because we had to use them so much.
box crew game inches middle rat seven sitting six sudden took walked
We're sitting there in the middle of the game and all of a sudden a rat walked into our dugout. It must have been about six or seven inches long. It took a while for someone from the grounds crew to come get it, put it in a box and take it away.
bunt choice good great runner second
With no outs and a runner on second, it's a good play. It was his choice to get the runner over like that, and it was his second great bunt in two nights.
lists minds names putting together
We're putting together lists of names and are narrowing it down. It's important in our minds to do this quickly. But it's more important that we get the right guy.
mental specific talk
There are some specific things we wanted to talk to Felix about. They're more mental things than anything else.
game redeeming
The only redeeming thing about this game is, it's over.
cleveland hair looked maybe recovered turned vision
When I had Richie in Cleveland he did this once, and I told him he looked like a Q-Tip. Maybe when his vision recovered his hair just turned that color.
extra giving jamie starts winds
We're giving Jamie an extra day of rest. And this way it winds up giving him two starts at home.
guy job looking offense
We're looking for a guy who can do the job defensively, first of all. Offense would be a plus.
warming
I probably would not use him for more than one inning. And if I got him warming up in the bullpen, I'd want to get him in the game.
