I give Lisle a lot of credit. They run the system and they execute it. I quit counting their offensive rebounds at 19. That was one of the few things I had written on the board: 'execute our system, stop the ball, and box out.' And when you do barely one of those, you're going to struggle. We're back to square one. We need to start over from the beginning.

It was definitely a back-and-forth game, numerous lead changes. Alex Jensen, being my best player, had the ball in his hands all the time, he makes it easy for us to create and score. People might say he didn't dominate today, but 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds -- that's almost a triple-double. Will Brown struggled early, and then came back and had a big game.

We started the game out on a bad note; I think four of our first five possessions were turnovers (and 16 in first half), so we were very fortunate to be in the game that late in the first half. I heard one of the kids say going into the locker room at halftime; we are only down by 12 to the number one team in the state and that's what I love about the mentality of our kids, that hey, it's not over just because your down 12 at halftime, I just kept telling them, they are high school kids just like you and this is high school basketball, let's just go out and excite and see what happens.
