It was a family decision. I didn't feel there was any negativity. Cedric has to know he's been important to us.

I told them we've got to have a defensive mindset. We're not good in high-scoring games. I thought we did some really good things in this game but we just didn't play well in the last four minutes.

I think this is a statement that we are improving. We are a tough basketball team. We have to take that toughness on the road as well as home.

Give DePaul credit. They did a good job of making plays down the end. They had been really struggling down the line. They shot 92 percent today so they did a good job at that.

Give Quincy credit. We tried to guard him but he makes you pay. He's a terrific player and he hit some big-time bombs today.

It's a huge win for our program. But we have to take this and learn from it just as we have learned from our losses. If we can have the same focus we did this week in practice and in this game, we have a chance to compete with anybody in the country.

You're never gonna win on the road turning it over as many times as we did. We turned it over 27 times and that's the most turnovers I think we've had all year in a game.

Our thought our guys battled hard, played hard throughout the whole game. They couldn't make a basket there at the end...pretty close to, but just couldn't put any in. It definitely was not a 16-point game.

I told them in the locker room that it does hurt, but that means we're playing games that mean something.

This was a great win for us. Now we have to build on it.

We did a great job of getting out and pressuring them. We made them catch it a little further out, which made them a little uncomfortable.
