beat carolina four guys intensity match monday night says team
For them to beat Carolina in Carolina says a lot about their team and their character. Now they've got the Monday night stage. We've just got to come out and match their intensity because if we don't, those guys are going to play all four quarters.
based black diamond drives drove fancy liked perception player seen team wears
I mean, I don't think I was liked as a person. I was kind of seen as a black kid, young African-American, cornrows, drives fancy cars, wears diamond earrings, things like that. They just kind of based their perception off of what I drove and what I did and things like that. All those things were never a part of any other player on that team but me.
coaches definitely dreamed family growing kid lost monday night players playing scattered team
As a kid growing up, you always dreamed of playing on 'Monday Night Football,' ... This is a different situation. You've got players and coaches on their team that lost homes, have scattered family members. They definitely have a lot to come out and play for, and doing it on a Monday night stage, because of the situation, they're definitely going to be emotional.
easily everybody goes knows nobody offense stop team ugliest yards
Everybody knows we just put up probably the ugliest 400 yards that an offense can put up. I've never been on a team where we can just put up 300, 400 yards so easily and make it look so ugly. That just goes to show that if we can just go out and be flawless, nobody will be able to stop us.
humbling year
It was just a humbling year for me,
afraid anxious ball confidence definitely stick throw work
He's definitely not afraid to stick it in there. He's going to throw the ball in traffic. He has a lot of confidence in his arm. But if I was that big, I'd have that much confidence too. We're all anxious to see how it's going to work out. The world's definitely going to get to see what he's got.
people sacrifice understand until willing
I didn't really understand those things until I was older. But just to come from something like that, with a person like that, willing to sacrifice everything for the people she loved. That's why I am the way I am.
quiet vocal
He's kind of got a little quiet 'Eli swagger' about him. You can actually sense that he's being more vocal and he understands that it's his team.
known matter special
I can't even get a read on him or how he's feeling. As long as I've known him this year, he's been the same, no matter what. What's so special about this game?
calls handle sure
I don't see why not? ... He's a quarterback. I'm pretty sure that if it calls for him to be in that situation, he'll handle it very well.
seemed
It seemed everything we did, they had an answer. It's kind of embarrassing to play like that.
plays
I make those plays every day in practice. I just didn't make it.
continues defense tough
If our defense continues to do what they've been doing, we're tough to beat.
anxious everybody
Right now (Eli's) anxious about getting started, too. I think everybody is.
