Rick Gibsonis a Canadian sculptor and artist. He was born in Montreal and he studied Psychology at the University of Victoria. Between 1973 and 1974 he drew weekly comics for the student newspaper. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 he moved to Vancouver. He lived in London, England from 1983 to 1989. I don't think we played anywhere close to our best. These kids don't know what their full potential is. We haven't put together four quarters in a game. They realize that and know they need to keep working hard in practice.

That's been our trademark lately. We get the momentum, and we haven't been able to put teams away. We get a six, eight-point lead, and the next thing you know it's tied.

That's kind of what's unique about this year's sectional. There's so many teams that can win it.

That's been one of our problems (holding leads or extending leads). We're a young team, but it's more than half way (through) the season, so we're not young anymore.

They banked in a 3, and those kind of things will happen when you don't get after a team, and close the door.

It feels good to come home. And it feels even better to come home and get a win.

exciting excuse five games kids manage six
It was much more exciting that I would have liked. We're a young team, but we can't use that excuse anymore. We're 15 games into the season. That's an excuse you can you get away with five or six games into a season. Our kids have matured, and they need to manage pressure.

We couldn't buy a shot in that second quarter. You have to credit their defense. Their defense is tough. Part of it was them and part of it was that we turned the ball over. The kids got urgent. We got down, and all of a sudden, we thought we'd make up 15 points on one possession, and that's not going to happen.

The only chance we had to see them was (Wednesday). They didn't shoot that well then. We really didn't expect them to shoot that well from the outside. But they did.

To go 3-1 in this tournament, we're happy with that. It's a tough tournament every year, and only one team gets to go 4-0 in this tournament.

We beat them by 20 last time. But they are a totally different team than they were then.

We definitely had a chance. They're a well coached team, they run their offense well and do a lot of good things.
