We're going to have to be mentally and physically ready. When you have no depth, the travel can really take its toll.

We're 1-0 in the league and we're starting a new season now. You're in league play and that's what really counts.

Even if you're not in the race, you still have to jockey for position in the (WAC) tournament. So they still have a lot to play for. They'll be ready for us.

The travel is what makes this conference so hard. Everybody is tough at home, and nobody has to travel like how we do it.

It's probably something they needed. They could've doubted themselves (if they had lost). It makes it tougher for us.

I think it changes a game. Like when Ahmet blocks a shot in the post, (the opponents) start hesitating and looking to see where he is.

Just trying to keep it light. Sometimes, when you have something negative on your mind, it affects the way you play, so we're trying to keep it all positive.

I think we match up better with Boise. That's why this was a tough one to lose.

It's not just hard for us, it's hard for everybody to win here. First of all, (Nevada) always has talented teams. But then you have the altitude and some of the distractions of the city, that's a great advantage.

It becomes a practice problem, too. We can't even do five-on-five anymore.

Early in the season, there was a lot of separation, because he didn't think defense coming out of junior college. Now he's right with the guy, tracking hard and getting out in him. And our big guys are helping him, and he recovers better than he did.
couple everybody help home plays practices
I don't know if it makes a difference, because everybody plays better at home in this league. But we'll still get a couple of practices in so that should help us a little bit.

They've really held together, grown as a team. They take coaching, they have worked hard in practice to improve their games, individually and (as a) team, and they like each other and play together.
