capitalize chances good ourselves played team
They're a good team and they played well. We just didn't capitalize on the chances we did have, to give ourselves a chance to win.
moving nice sign team
It was nice to have our whole team on the ice. It was a real sign of us moving ahead.
against best critical penalties power prevention special teams
Special teams are always critical against Everett. They don't take many penalties and they have the best power play in the league. The best way to kill penalties against Everett is not to take them. Prevention is the key.
both edge impact puts records rivalry series start teams zero
Both teams start at zero and it's even going in. I don't think records have much impact on the series. It puts an edge on the series when there's a rivalry between the two teams. But in preparing, there's no difference. It just makes it a little more exciting.
glamorous hard less parts played playing roman talent
Roman has really played hard and much better. He's always had the talent and now he's really playing hard in the less glamorous parts of the game.
pleased ready start tonight
I was pleased with the start tonight and we will be ready tomorrow.
elevated game happy hard turned
I was very happy the way we turned it up in the third. We elevated our game and made it hard for them to do anything.
breathe concerned good middle mind sigh start sure
In the back of my mind I was a little concerned about a letdown because you can breathe a sigh of relief. I'm not sure if that's what happened, but we had a very good start and then didn't play well in the middle of that game.
excellent few games johnson last
In the last few games Johnson have been excellent with his grittiness and passion. He's really impacted the last few games.
egg lay paper ready throughout tough weighs
It weighs on me why we weren't ready to go, because on paper that was a big game. To go out and lay an egg like that is tough to take. We just didn't play well throughout the lineup.
agreed argue blew given net referee whistle
On the explanation given to me, the referee agreed it went into the net but that he blew his whistle first. I couldn't really see it, so there wasn't a lot I could argue about.
continues giving hold obviously power recipe
That's obviously not a recipe for success. The power play continues to hold us back. We're not giving up on it, we'll continue to try different things and different personnel.
fix liked played start
I liked our start and our finish, and we can fix the way we played in-between. I really liked the way we played with desperation once we got to that point.
although elite goes help humble kid player
Although he's a very humble kid who goes about his own business, all of the recognition that he's an elite player can only help his confidence.
