certainly forward guys looking past possible remember talent team veteran
You can't live in the past. You certainly want to remember it, but you can't live there. I'm looking forward to being a part of a new group. It's exciting. We've got some young talent and some veteran guys who have been around a bit. I think anything is possible with a team like this.
assumed family few fortunate grown hopefully house kids milwaukee move players quite talented time trying watch
Ned has been trying to get me back for quite a few years and the time just hasn't been right for me personally. I've been trying to get the family out of the house and get the kids grown up and move on. I always assumed I would go back one day to Milwaukee in some capacity, and I was very fortunate that the time to come back is now with these really talented young players that we have and hopefully get to watch their progress.
alex asked great hard prepared utility wherever willing worker
I like Alex because he's a hard worker and he's very talented. As a utility infielder, he'll be great in that role. He was always prepared and willing to play wherever you asked him.
baseball brother kids
You know, when I was a young boy I used to play baseball in my back yard or in the street with my brothers or the neighborhood kids. We used broken bats and plastic golf balls and played for hours and hours.
dream player fame
But what I'd really like to tell you is I never dreamed of being in the Hall of Fame. Standing here with all these great players was beyond any of my dreams.
dream finals balls
I had dreams of catching the ball for the final out in the World Series and being mobbed by my teammates. Well, I guess all my dreams didn't come true.
jobs children wife
I realize now what a great job my wife Michelle did, not only in raising our children, Melissa, Amy, Dustin, and Jenna, but in taking care of me.
stuff pitcher nolan
I never faced a pitcher with better stuff than Nolan Ryan.
good-friend thinking years
And George Brett. I think most people know that George and I have become pretty good friends over the years.
sports people way
You know no one ever accomplishes something like this without a lot of help from good people along the way. And this is certainly true in my case, and I would like to thank some of those people.
