applying began changed finger lead pressure
It's one of those things I can't put my finger on. They started applying pressure and it got pretty sad. We got out to a 17-3 lead and everything was clicking. They changed defenses and we began to quiver.
confidence games goes opportunity ourselves played psyche quickly ready rebound road talk team time
Our psyche has always been up and down. We've got to get our confidence back up. We'll have to quickly rebound and get ready to play. With the travel, we'll have time to talk about it. If we get there on the time and everything goes smooth, we'll be all right. We'll have the opportunity to get ourselves ready to play. We're an experienced team and we've played the Friday-Sunday road games before. We know how to do it. We just have to get ready.
excited families february forward game late looking nice players positive tv utmost
Our players are very excited to play on TV so all their families can watch. We're down to late February and every game is of the utmost importance. It's nice to be home, and we have a lot of positive things in our favor. We're looking forward to a big crowd.
accustomed settle
We've just got to settle and get accustomed to some new roles. If we can that, we'll be fine.
class senior took
This senior class took us from nothing to something.
focus high today tournament
We get to go into the tournament on a high note. We had to get a 'W' today to get our focus right going into the tournament.
needed
We did the things we needed to win. We just didn't do enough of them.
almost bench came carried four hit michele points rebounds saved shooting tonight
We didn't play very well tonight to tell you the truth. If our bench didn't come to the rescue, we would have been in trouble. Michele Hagan had a big night with 13 points and 13 rebounds in 13 minutes. That's almost a triple-double. And Jill saved us in the first half. We weren't shooting very well, and she came in and hit some threes and got four rebounds. The bench carried us tonight.
aggressive basketball best played season shot
We played our best basketball of the season in the first half. We were very aggressive and shot the ball very well.
leadership push ups
When we get on a roll, we've got enough leadership to push them through the ups and downs.
fight rolling standing table wild
I don't think we were standing at the table rolling sevens. We had to fight for every basket. There were charges. It was just wild and we weren't getting breaks.
point season whether
We've done pretty well. It just comes down to whether we put an exclamation point on the season or a period.
dues gel hardest last late paid proud seemed sure team time vigor year
We sure paid our dues this year. It seemed like every time we thought that we got it, we had to back up, regroup, reshuffle and refocus. Last year we were able to gel in late February, but this team never really did. This was one of the hardest years I've ever been through. But, I'm most proud of their fight, vigor and tenacity.
community good great hooked learn lessons life marshall people starts storms weather wheel
I feel like we were hooked to the paddle wheel of steamboat. Just when you thought it was done, you got another slap. But you can weather storms when you have good people, and that starts at the top. At Marshall there are great people at the top. There are great boosters and a great Huntington community that instills these things. We all got to learn life lessons and that's what it's all about.
