Penny's best basketball is ahead of him. He grew up playing guard and has grown eight inches in the last two years, which gives him the unique quality of possessing height as well as perimeter skills. Penny has a lot of athletic ability and his versatility really excites our staff.

Penny is an impressive young man. He is an excellent student who is extremely hard working and driven to be successful in academics, basketball and life.
forward game looked
We've looked more forward to every game than any other team.
anyone good
Roby is as good as anyone in the conference.
depth kansas top
Kansas has the talent, the athleticism and the depth to be at the top in this league. They are right there.
great inside score stop tough
That didn't work. When you play a great team, they can do two things: score inside and score outside. It's tough for us to stop both.
last rather second worst year
When you go through something like this, the worst end of it is often your second year rather than your first year. Last year we at least had some upperclassmen.
contain defending hope misses richard shots situation
With other players, you can get into a situation where you can take them out of a game. Richard Roby? You can't contain him. You just have to hope he misses some shots and keep defending him as well as you can.
moving players second six
We've come a long way from my first two years here of having six scholarship players and having only one player on scholarship over 6-foot-6 my second year. This year, we had 10 scholarships, so we're moving in the right direction.
credit daniel gibson gym hard open
You have got to give Daniel Gibson some credit. We were guarding him and even if you're in an open gym it's hard to make those 13 shots.
building longer mode normally season
With a young team, physically, you're normally not as developed. And when the season starts, you're in a maintaining mode. We have been able to keep the building mode for a longer period.
against help john played rather stayed team thankful
We would rather have John on the team than play against him, but we'll help him any way we can, ... We are just really thankful that he stayed and played for Baylor for two years.
biggest building endure pleased position program team tremendous year
We're just so pleased with what this team has been able to endure this year because no team has been put in the position we were. I think we've made tremendous progress. The biggest thing when you're building a program is being competitive. We've done that.
