clip gone good
It's been a little frustrating because we've gone at a pretty good clip and not been able to get anywhere.
across came shot toward
It came right over toward me, toward my stick, and I shot it across the room.
skating
They made us look like we were skating in slush. There was a lot of slop out there. Give them credit. They executed.
create difference fifth fine finishing goal missing
Hopefully, the goal is to create some parity. The difference between making the playoffs, finishing fifth or sixth, and missing it isn't much. It's a pretty fine line.
division good heck seeing
It's a good division and for years to come, I think, it's going to be pretty good. It's going to be a heck of a division, and you're seeing a lot of good rivalries.
dominated ready
I thought we were ready to play. I think we dominated stretches of the game.
few gentlemen jumping kick mention quite tried
He tried to kick it with his skate. But that was because quite a few gentlemen, and I won't mention any names, were jumping away from it.
contribute game goal huge run special table win
It was a huge win for us and to contribute to that is huge. We pretty much have to run the table just (to make the playoffs), so to get the game-winning goal in a game like that is pretty special for me personally.
bad lose loss words
It was embarrassing. We're professionals in here and to lose like that in our building, in any building, is about as bad as it gets. I'm kind of at a loss for words right now.
basically catch daunting hope pack run table
Basically we have to run the table from now on and hope we can catch someone. It's a daunting task, but we're not going to pack it in.
create develop good great job large management nfl players speed youth
You've got to develop your players and make good decisions. Youth and speed are, to a large degree, the answer. In the long run, (the system) is going to create some parity. It's going to be like the NFL in the sense that management has got to do a great job if you're going to be up there every year.
goal gratifying night special
To be able to have the kind of night I had and have a big goal like that is special for me. It was gratifying in a lot of ways.
game hang period second shock ups
We had a little shock after the first period. The first period was all us and the second was the opposite. You have to hang in there. In this game you are going to have ups and downs.
ball behind eight far figured time
We're just embarrassed right now, and we should be. We don't have a lot of time to get this thing figured out. We can't get too far behind the eight ball or we're going to be in trouble. We've got to find a way.
