added bottom continue drive guys hitting home key order pressure run seven six solid step younger
Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.
bobby great kept strikes stuff threw
Bobby threw really well. He didn't have great stuff but he threw strikes and kept them off-balance.
backed bit innings mistakes nice played win
I thought for 4-2/3 innings we played excellent. We backed down a little bit and they got back into it. We made some mistakes that we don't usually make. But it was nice to still win the game.
ability bobby conference dominant hopefully improve kyle last numbers phil playoff time tony
Hopefully we can improve on our (pitching) numbers from last year, and come conference and playoff time we should be pretty experienced. Bobby and Kyle have the ability to be dominant and Casey, Phil and Tony are solid, too.
asleep bats days good pride steal team
We take a lot of pride in that, to be honest. It's one of the things that we've learned. If we're going to be a team that is a success, there are going to be days when our bats are asleep and we're going to need to manufacture. We're pretty good when we get on base, but sometimes we have to steal first.
challenged kids played practice rained yesterday
We played a real lackluster game. It wasn't very good. (We) challenged the kids at practice yesterday (Monday) because we were rained out.
possibly regional state thereafter win
We would like to possibly win the conference, win a regional and then be competitive thereafter in the state tournament.
