risk team test worth
It wasn't worth the risk. I wouldn't want to go into a test and let the team down.
bowl determined performing previous standard
I was determined to bowl well after not performing up to standard the previous evening.
forward knowledge looking possibly team tempered test
It's very frustrating. I had been really looking forward to this tour. But my disappointment is tempered by the knowledge that it is nothing major. If it had been a one-day series, I would have played, but I couldn't go into a test and possibly let my team down.
gave happening life saw weapon
Really nothing was happening before, and when we saw what was going on with the replacement ball, it just gave you a new lease of life that you really had a weapon now to do some damage.
africa breaks coming cricket feeling full half late major played secondly series south summer team test time tired west worries
Our two major worries coming here so late in the summer were firstly, would the team be in one piece, and secondly how tired we would be. But after the West Indies series we're actually feeling very fresh, we feel pretty good. We've played probably half as much test cricket as South Africa, with breaks in between, and we're here with our full team. A lot has been said about how tired South Africa are and how they need time off.
