The way our pass protection is right now, I don't know if Blake could last anyway.
He kicked well in practice. We had to make a decision between him and Brett last week. Brett was healthy, so we went in that direction. But we were ready to go with Tuthill. We have a lot of confidence in him.
He looks like a big-time back. There's no question about that. He runs hard, has speed, catches the ball. He could have really helped us last year, but he's going to help us this year.
The time I went there, they weren't near the team they are now, ... The fans left by the third quarter, I think, the last time I was there. A different environment, completely different. A different team. A different head coach.
Offensively, we should play better than last year. Defensively, we have a lot of new guys. We've got to improve.
Mike Davis ran extremely well. He's so much quicker and stronger than last year. So is Cory Boyd. He's a big time back.
Since the Gators didn't have to worry about that game last night, we decided we'd root for Auburn instead.
That's fine with me. We played the last five games without him. If he feels like he can contribute over there, that'll be fine. We'll see how it goes. He can always come back to offense if it's not working.
If we didn't have a passing game, we didn't have a chance last night, ... If we didn't throw the ball successfully, we'd still be out there trying to score probably.
Daccus should give us some toughness running the ball that we didn't have last week, ... Our team right now is looking for some tough guys who love to compete and maybe hate losing. Daccus is a tough guy, and he'll add a lot to our offense blocking, running the ball and maybe challenging our offensive linemen to get their butts going, things like that. We're glad to have him back.
Most coaches will tell you it's very important to win that last one. That's all anyone talks about.
(He) was running around like he did last year (before the injury). He couldn't run like that in practice last season.
Cory Boyd and Mike Davis are running very well. Mike is a lot faster than he was last year and Cory is in excellent shape.
It hurts more. He's on his last chance around here. He knows it, and we'll see if he can make it.
