We have to change our ways, that's a positive. Hopefully we won't put a performance like this on again. Even though Alabama is a bigger and stronger team, we should have bee more competitive. A turnover here or there may have helped us win the game, but we got no turnovers.

Certainly now, if one player is not performing well, at any position, and you have another one who you feel can play as well or better, then you've got to give him a chance. I think Cade sort of put himself in position if the opportunity arises.
Hopefully our guys will represent themselves, our university and our team in an all-out-effort performance this week.

If our fans felt like booing, I would have said they had a good reason to. To me, you only boo if the guys are not playing with effort, (and if the) coaches don't look like they know what they were doing. We were all in that category. I salute and praise the people in Shreveport for having this bowl for 30 years. I know it's not always easy keeping these things alive, but I think the Independence Bowl is the 11th-oldest bowl in the country, so they have done a super job here.
