bad dumb finally gave good last played score snow takes teams took worried
I think Snow played a good game. I thought he gave us a chance. We let him down. That's the last person I'm worried about. We took lazy, dumb non-hard working penalties. It only takes one bad clear, one play. Good teams finally score on you. That's what happened.
coming took
We took lazy, dumb, not hardworking penalties. We were never the same after it was 3-2 because they were coming like gangbusters.
happened knee took
He went down awkwardly, and took a knee to the head. Everything just happened all at once.
continue felt hardly night regular six took
This was the first night I felt really comfortable as a coach. We only took six penalties, and hardly any were bad. If we can continue to do this on a regular basis, we'll be better for it.
afford ice penalty took
He took a penalty and I couldn't afford to put him on the ice again, and have him take another one.
needless penalties period point second took turning
The turning point was the second period with all the penalties. We took some silly, needless penalties there.
notch plain played respond smart team took
I thought we played well the first two periods. But when the other team took it up a notch in the third, we did not respond with smart hockey, plain and simple.
needed penalty save
I thought our penalty kill was a little better tonight. And that, coupled with Snowy making the big save when he needed to. was the difference.
center chipping deep good supposed teams
We got away from the little things. Chipping when you're supposed to, getting to center ice, we don't get it in deep like we're supposed to. The little things that good teams do, we didn't do.
complete forward good jason knows news support thoughts
Our thoughts are with Jason tonight. He knows he has the complete support of his team. We look forward to getting him back, but that's for another day. The good news is that he's going to be OK.
excited surprised
I think he was excited to be back. No, I'm not surprised he did what he did.
against comforting coming game good great ottawa
I think it'll be a great challenge. And it's a whole lot more comforting to go into the game against Ottawa coming off a pretty good game.
appears bullied complaints-and-complaining habit taking
It appears he was in the habit of taking things from his mother, and he bullied her into not complaining.
came helps period quick resilient start takes third wind
The quick start helps us. It takes the wind out of their sails. ... But I like the way we were resilient after two (periods) when it was 3-2. I like that we came out in the third period and put it away.
