conditions golf good solid trying
Today, was just good solid golf all day, more trying conditions than yesterday, and I just made some good putts today,
conditions definitely quite score somebody
Conditions were quite easy. There was definitely a 6-under score to be had out there by somebody and I was fortunate.
benign conditions course scores
The course had benign conditions for us. Scores are to be had out there.
ball club drove face golf good hit middle solid
Just good solid golf all day. I drove the ball well, hit the middle of the club face a lot of times...and here we are.
bit wind
I think it's about the wind and breeze. It's a little bit like Australia.
low seen shot strong trying wind
I would like to have shot lower, but it was pretty trying out there. The wind was as strong as I've ever seen it. You just weren't going to see a low score.
change grab mixing start stuff
You don't change the recipe, you just go and grab stuff and start mixing in the bowl. And that was really what I thought today.
bulls hitting middle thinking throwing within
You keep thinking when you're throwing a dart, it's just going to keep hitting the middle of the bulls eye. No matter, you throw left-handed or one-eyed or whatever, you just feel comfortable that things are very much within you.
anxious
That was as anxious as I got today. That was me panicking.
match matches situation trying week win
Match play is a situation where you need to win your matches and be aggressive, and I think that's something that I'm trying to use this week as preparation.
close doubt future home kept
We kept them close on the Americans' home soil. There's no doubt in the future we can take this thing out.
australian courses heath melbourne open playing royal sitting
We shouldn't be playing an Australian Open here. We should be playing on a top-10 course, ... To think that courses like Royal Melbourne and Kingston Heath are sitting there while we play this place is ridiculous.
birdie chip difficult fortunate four good green nice score shot sneaky thinking three walk
The par-five I made a nice little five-foot birdie putt. That was a sneaky one down the hill. Then I chipped in from over the back of the green on six. It was a very difficult chip and it went in. That was a very fortunate shot there because I really was thinking four would be a good score to walk away with, so three was a bonus.
attitude coming game ideas learned mind mistakes open says sorts taken tiger trying
Tiger always says he's trying to get better. That's the attitude you've got to have. I think Mickelson has taken a very comprehensive look at his game and learned from mistakes he's made. He's coming up with all sorts of ideas to do it. You always have to have a very open mind about what you need to do.
