fall figured gold pitching ring smart start turns wife work
I figured my wife was about to start law school. If that whole baseball pitching thing didn't work out, I had something to fall back on. I figure I'd put a ring on her finger. Turns out she was the smart one. Turns out she was the gold digger, not me.
clown excited guys pitching reputation seems stood work
When he played, he had that clown reputation. There were a lot of guys like that, but he stood out. As a pitching coach, he's going to be awesome. He's personable, easygoing, and he seems excited to be here. It will be good. We don't need to work all the time.
adjust honest problem workouts
To be honest with you, I don't think it's that big a deal, ... You have to adjust your workouts and preparation in between starts. But I don't have a problem with it.
backed great overwork point time workouts
I just kind of backed off it a little bit. They were great workouts for me, but I think there's a point in time where you can overwork something.
last lessen main opening pitch whether work
I want to lessen his workload this year, whether it's pitch opening day or work after him, so he doesn't have to do what he did last year. That's the main goal.
business came care huge victory
Langy came up huge for us two times. This was a big victory for us. Now we have to take care of business on the road.
breakup five gone good home schedule stink wear week
I think home a week, gone a week is a good breakup of the schedule. What's going to stink is we're only home for five days. You kind of wear it when the schedule isn't in your favor.
ahead awakening best ceiling help hopefully joey kid last leagues reach rude talent tremendous
Joey D had a little rude awakening to the big leagues last year. But the kid has a lot of talent and a tremendous ceiling ahead of him. We're hopefully going to help him reach it the best we can. I know where I was right out of college, and I wasn't where he's at.
baseball box confidence pitching stumbling
I think it's just stumbling out of the box from a pitching standpoint. We just have to get some confidence back. It's just executing, that's about it.
great
I think it's going to be great having his personality around the team.
good hit realized slider start throw until
My slider was really good to start the game. I realized that. Just throw it until they hit it.
backs chance good scenario wish
I wish I didn't have to pitch. But the way the scenario is, we've kind of got our backs to the wall, ... I want to be out there if something is on the line. I feel like I should be out there to give us a good chance to win.
brought fun
You know, it's a kids' game. You have to go out there and have fun and play with a lot of excitement. That's what they brought this year.
anybody christ constant faith jesus knowing played sports steadily walk
It's been one of those things where anybody that's played a sport at the professional level, there's always a lot of challenges. And the one thing that's always been a constant for me is Jesus Christ and my faith - and just knowing that my walk with Christ is steadily going up.
