It was certainly one of the worst cuts that I've ever seen, but it just goes to show the type of player he is. He goes 110 percent all the time no matter where, and he won't lay back in our zone.

It's been a tough go for us the last three or four weeks. We've still got a lot of work to do, but we've also got a lot of younger guys on the team stepping up.

He's doing pretty well. He's had some surgery, but we don't have any information on how long he's going to be out or if he's done for the season.

You just have to tell them to go out and play hard and try to win the third period, which is all you can do in that situation. You have a young team, we got beat to the puck, we worked specifically in practice this week on things we needed to do and we didn't do them.

When you go up against a team that's significantly better than you, you try to stick one in there, here or there, and take advantage of it. It just didn't work for us.

We didn't play very well and that's not what our tradition has been this year. We had some situations where didn't play well. We're basically young and it just didn't happen for us.
