advantage bit came certainly change created fine influence jersey maybe ourselves penalty stay took
We want him to stay out of the penalty box. At the same time, it's a fine line, because you don't want him to change his game. He can certainly influence a game, and I thought he did. I thought we created a bit of an advantage for ourselves by the way he came out to play, and maybe he took New Jersey off their game, at least initially.
against game good hockey hunch jersey kevin last played playing sort
We're sort of playing a hunch as much as anything. He's played New Jersey well, and our last good game of hockey was here against them with Kevin in goal, so I don't think that is unreasonable at all.
beginning bit game three
We're beginning to see a bit of personality in the other three lines. They can contribute, game in and game out.
heard quit referee suck
When you've heard from the referee once that you've got to kind of suck it up and quit yapping, you should probably do that.
approach best bit chose compromise continued execute felt gave hard honest intense last madison objective opponents point rest send square stage sure tried
We really felt the last 20 minutes, and how we chose to approach that, could set the stage for the rest of the series. We wanted to make sure we continued to play hard and honest and not compromise ourselves. We gave our opponents something to think about going into Madison Square Garden. Our objective was to be every bit as intense as we had up to that point and execute the best we could. We tried to send a message.
bargain certainly exciting happy hope
It's an exciting time, obviously, I think for everyone. We hope to live up to our end of the bargain and make it exciting for our fans. But certainly we're happy to be back.
acquire begin certainly corner free might minor mission playing playoff relief turn year
There might be a minor sense of relief there for the players. They've certainly been on a mission all year long to acquire this playoff spot. It might even free us up to begin to turn the corner and play like we had been playing for the most part of this year. I think we're a little tight.
badly certainly enjoy motivates special takes thanks wants
He wants badly to win. He wants everyone to enjoy something very special with his help. Not thanks to him, but certainly with his help. I think that really motivates him. He takes this very seriously.
attached certainly execute game guess remains whether
My guess is we'll certainly be emotionally attached to the game like we should. Whether or not we execute in a way we want remains to be seen.
certainly changed complexion confidence create develop goal looking
It certainly changed the complexion of our team. We're looking to develop some confidence and create some momentum. If we got a goal there, that's probably it.
afterwards aware certainly felt jim left talking time
He said he felt a little tight. By the time I left the ice, I wasn't aware there was much of a problem. But certainly talking to (trainer) Jim Ramsey afterwards he felt very uncomfortable.
across certain fact horse league measure measured question quick raise sticks training type
Don said he had done it a certain way and that it was illegal. The horse is out of the barn. It's gone, it's over. Other than to raise the question of how in fact the sticks are measured and training staffs across the league measure sticks the same way. You need some type of quick seminar.
nailed question rise
He nailed the big one. The question was, can he rise to the big game? And he did.
minutes team
In the first 10 minutes something was amiss with our team and our approach. We got it going finally, but at the end of the day the better team won.
