I consider myself a method singer, not a method actor. I applied method acting to singing.
He's just a freshman and we have a lot of depth this year. I think there's such an adjustment for freshmen from a strength and physical standpoint. He's doing a good job with that. He's a complete player. He just has to continue to improve and get himself used to this level.
I've tried to do that for my top assistant wherever I've been, but this is even better because it'll be for my son. I will feel like I've finished the job I was called to do in coming here,
It gives the young men some assurance that things are going to be maintained,
He's a cult hero over here for doing it.

I treasure the three years that we were together (coaching).

I am very thankful for this opportunity. I can't tell you how much of a privilege and a honor it is for me to follow in the footsteps of my father. I think there's an opportunity for a couple of them for sure, maybe more depending upon the situation, but it's too early to say which ones. It's a pretty competitive fight. And that doesn't mean the older guys are just going to walk into spots. I remind them all the time - you got to earn everything you get. And that's what made our team good last year, is guys really competed for opportunities and understood their roles.
