The freshmen come in during the fall and it's a blur to them, adjusting to college, away from home for the first time. As a staff we're trying to get everyone ready to play and operating in the system so they have to pick it up and don't exactly learn everything they need.

I'd love to see what it would be like to get an easy win. When we have a lead in the third quarter, we need to learn how to finish teams off.

I thought the turning point of the game was after we went ahead in the third quarter, they came back and scored a touchdown on us in two plays.

Kevin wants to be a coach, so he's an intelligent student of the game. He knows what to do with the football. He doesn't have the arm strength Justin (Price) does, but we have all the confidence that he can move the offense.
freshmen guys season towards
A lot of those guys did play towards the end of the season but freshmen make freshmen mistakes.
brings confidence drives engineer enthusiasm spark
He's (Price) the engineer that drives the train. He does a lot of things. He brings a spark and enthusiasm to our offense. He'll make some mistakes, but he has enough confidence to go back out there and not let it get to him.

We geared everything to winning the first ball game. Our kids are very disappointed.
