fear played win
When it was all about V.C. the Raptors played with fear, and that's not how you win games.
care guys positive rebuilding stay stick together
Going through rebuilding is always tough, I don't care where you are or who you are, it is always tough. It is important for those guys to stick together and stay positive if that is possible.
certainly contact guys hit
I certainly thought I was going to get the call. There was a lot of contact on that play. At least two guys hit me.
dangerous five goal great guys jump mattered mind player team together
It wouldn't have mattered if they only had five guys to play with. Sometimes when a great player is not in the lineup, that's when a team is most dangerous because you play together and you play loose. That was in our mind before the game, and our goal was to jump on them early.
afraid against aside asks attentive call definitely guys help plays pull team tough wants willing
I call him 'Pretty Ricky,' ... I like him because he's one of those guys, he plays hard. If you pull him aside and try to help him, he's willing to learn. He's very attentive and he asks questions. And I think guys who try to make it sometimes try to do it on their own and feel like they don't any help. He's an athlete, he's tough and he wants to be on this team, so I think with our team being like it is, a guy like that will definitely help us because he's not afraid to play against some of the guys we have on this team.
felt guys help needed
As guards, we felt we needed to come back and help the big guys rebound.
giving good guys opportunity thankful thrilled
It's a good feeling, I'll tell you that. There's a lot of guys who've been phenomenal, unreal, so I'm just thankful for the opportunity to be here and I'm thrilled that he's giving me the opportunity to start.
aggressive ball decisions guy knocking move open quick shared
Offensively, we were aggressive and we shared the ball. We made quick decisions - move the ball and find the open guy. The open guy was knocking down shots.
cramp felt grab hoping
It just tightened up. When I went up, I just felt a grab and I didn't want it to tear. We're hoping it's just a cramp and I can play tomorrow.
giving lane loose taking
I was just taking what they were giving me. On pick-and-rolls they were loose and I was able to get in the lane and make things happen.
minutes
The first two minutes were the toughest. I was tired.
commitment defend
I think we make a commitment to defend them.
avoid ball basket both charges patient took trying tying
I was just tying to put the ball in the basket. I just wanted to be patient and take what I could get. Just wanted to go to the basket and avoid him, because he'd already took two charges on me, so I was concentrating on trying to do both things.
correct effort happy level regardless road whether
Regardless of whether (Jefferson) was back or not, we just weren't happy with our effort (on the road trip). That's what we wanted to correct - we wanted the effort level to be there.
