I genuinely was aware of what was happening and enjoyed looking at the people I won it with and how they enjoyed it. Before, I was just so excited that I won it that I didn't get to really enjoy the experience.

That may be the greatest lesson we learned on September 11. So much of what we took for granted was shattered that day. But how quickly we woke up.
