When we finally get to the game, I'll be looking forward to it. But right now, there are so many details that we need to take care of just to get on the plane and be able to have a good Friday study session that it's kind of overwhelming right now. I really haven't had the time to think that this is my first game at Stanford.

We were devastated and in shock, but we had no one to blame but ourselves.

It's very nice to see the improvement in Aaron. We're trying to audition and get productivity and consistency there. Aaron has stepped up and been the more consistent of the two so far.
injury joint problem tests
He's having more tests to see what's wrong, ... Part of the problem is we don't know if it there's an injury in the bone, the joint or the ligament.
diagnosed doctors hoping looking sure surgery treat
I'm not looking at surgery and he's not looking at surgery, but we're not really sure yet. We are hoping it is what the doctors have diagnosed and we can treat it.

He did a really nice job. We're really excited about his future.
bugs game heat hurts improve players respond second teams
They (had) a game to get the bugs out. A lot of teams improve the most from the first game to the second game. We're a new program, and that hurts us. We don't know how our players are going to respond in the heat of the game.

He was a good athlete, and he made up for whatever speed he might have lacked by being a natural football player. He understood the game and knew how to make reads.
davis deal game pressure seeing stronger team wore
I think as the game wore on, Davis started seeing that they were in it and they got stronger and stronger. And the pressure on our team got stronger and stronger and we weren't able to deal with it.

He has to protect himself better, ... He took a couple of shots. But he did a real good job. We're excited about his future.

This is a huge game for UC Davis as they are making the move into Division I football, kind of like their bowl game.

He's got to do a better job of protecting himself so he doesn't take any more shots. I was watching to make sure he got up. Fortunately, he got up and did the job.

It's really difficult to figure out what coverage they are playing. They are very multiple and unusual with what they play.

He's a little older, executed to a higher degree what I asked him to do, ... But the other guy, T.C., made it tough. He's a good football player as well. It wasn't like it was a runaway. I'm respectful of what I see in T.C. Ostrander's talent and his potential. He's a competitor.
