boys exactly mindset nice period work
It's nice to come out of the first period with a 2-0 lead. The boys have the mindset that when they know they have to come out and work hard, that's exactly what they do.
corners deep fans six standing
It's been incredible. We have fans standing six deep in the corners of the rink. It's been unbelievable.
barely few formal haunt hold looking losing obviously outside past players season starting training
Obviously I'm on the outside looking in at this situation, but what I think is the past is really starting to haunt them. They've had so many losing seasons, very few players want to try out for the team. From what I understand, they barely got enough players in this season to hold a formal training camp.
defensive key main reason
Our defensive play was key for us tonight, and it was the main reason we won.
boys figured focusing goals score
I don't know if we were focusing on a low-scoring game, but the boys figured they could score enough goals to win.
awful effort loss simply
The loss to Bradford was simply an awful effort on our behalf.
boys effort great knew prepared
It was a great effort from everybody. We knew there was a sense of urgency, so the boys were prepared before the game.
cent focus lying per series start thinking
I'd be lying if I told you I hadn't been thinking about it. But honestly, 90 per cent of my focus has been on getting us through this series. We'll start thinking about that series when, and if, it comes.
against coaching expect games mindset regular remaining staff type
With only 10 games remaining in the regular season, we as a coaching staff expect the same type of mindset before every game, as we did against Midland. The mindset that we can't be beat.
against battles confidence game good great loose lost possession puck seem twice won
We seem to play with a great sense of confidence when we play at home, where we have only lost twice all season. Against Midland, we won all the loose puck battles and our puck possession game was as good as it's been all season.
cent few per ready tired
We're a little tired and we have a few bruises, but we're 100 per cent ready to play.
game goals lead penalty period ran trouble
We actually had a 3-1 lead in the first period and then we ran into penalty trouble and they (Port Perry) scored two power-play goals to even the game at 3-3 after the first period.
