This allows us to breathe for a moment, ... We've got a young team, the fifth-youngest in the NFL, and these guys are trying their best, trying to understand what the coaches are teaching them. We've maintained our poise and tried to overcome adversity. Now, we have to keep getting better.

I was concerned for Brett. I didn't know what the guy was going to do. We were still trying to drive the ball and score. I'm just glad nothing else happened. The reality is, you still have to play football, but the league is going to have to address the issue.

For whatever reason - whether it be the other team playing better than us or us not taking full advantage of opportunities we were presented - we had opportunities to go further in the playoffs if we made it to the playoffs. So you can't say this team has gone south. We just haven't gone as far as we possibly could.

You break it down to fundamentals and little increments to people and you see the lights turn on. Hopefully they stay on, ... That's the one thing right now -- I'm wondering where the lights are (in this locker room), and they seem still to be on.

We needed to do something well for ourselves in our own house and I'm the first one to admit when we fell short of our goals. And I definitely fell short of mine with the first fumble.
