It's a feather in the cap for this group of players. They battled from Day One and they had to go to double overtime for us to make that last step. We were very close last year and we came up a goal short.

It might have hurt us in recruiting that first year. A lot of schools were using it against us, saying we didn't have an athletic department, saying we were going to intramurals.

It never occurred to me that I wasn't a member. I've been coming here for 10 years. I write my checks to the YWCA, and my membership card says YWCA on it.
