asked good question ready
We?re ready to go. Hopefully, that translates into a good start. I don?t know, it?s a question we get asked a lot.
early feet seems struggle swing
It seems like every spring, early on, I struggle a little to get my feet under me out there. I don't like it, but it's just getting back in the swing of things.
awesome lost pickup remember together trade
I think it got a little lost in the Coco Crisp trade, but if Mota is healthy, that's an awesome pickup for us. I remember when he and (Eric) Gagne were together in the Dodgers' bullpen. They were electric.
tone
They completely set the tone for us tonight.
college elite emerging guy impressive last
He's already emerging as one of the elite closers in the game. That's pretty impressive for a guy who was in college last year.
friends-or-friendship good last
I'm actually pretty good friends with him. I didn't really think much of that last year, or much of this. It's in the game, and that's what happens.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch speeds
He changed speeds on his fastball. He had a changeup and a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside too.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch
He changed speeds, had a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside either. I thought he was very good.
obviously
He's pitched so well. We're frustrated. He's obviously pitched a lot better than his record.
control mistakes
He's a control guy, a change-speed guy. He didn't make any mistakes on the big part of the plate. He pitched his game.
call might work
I might make a call or two, ... but we need to do our work or it doesn't matter.
capable certainly confident fact feels felt good last respect takes team win
I think we respect the fact of what it takes to win the World Series. I certainly respect that. I felt like they were a really good team last year, so we respect who we're playing. But I also think that everyone in here feels pretty confident about what we're capable of doing.
absolutely cliff conscious dugout effort fun guys knack pride takes winning year
Absolutely there are guys who have a knack for winning games. Cliff is one of them, and it's very underrated. All year long, if we have a big inning, he makes a conscious effort to get us back in the dugout fast. He takes a lot of pride in that. He's fun to play behind.
messages send time white year
You don't send any messages this time of year (to the White Sox).
