arm bowl fact good last move night raise salad
I couldn't straighten my arm the first day so the fact I can actually move it is a good thing. There's a lot more flexibility in it today, but last night I couldn't raise a salad bowl at dinner.
arm definitely felt good nice pitches sixth strength
The arm strength and stamina's there. I felt good in the sixth inning, made some good pitches and got them 1-2-3. It's definitely nice to go out there in the sixth and put up a zero.
ego good guys themselves
I feel good about it. The clubhouse, all the guys have made themselves available. There is not a lot of ego in here, which is really nice. Everybody's able to be themselves and just have a good time. I feel really good about this team.
bad command execution fastball good mechanics points today trying
My fastball command was pretty poor, but the cutter was pretty good. The first inning had good points and bad points. Mostly, the execution wasn't there at all. For me, it's trying to get mechanics down to be consistent, and today I wasn't consistent.
catch challenge good obviously selfish time willing year
It's a challenge I'm willing to take on fully. If I can catch Jake in wins, obviously that would be a good thing. But at the same time I want Jake to get his wins, too. Right now it's a selfish time of the year for a pitcher. You want to get your wins; you don't want to have any losses.

Just one statement would be: missed opportunities. We didn't get that one big hit, that stolen base or take advantage of a mental mistake they made. It's just frustrating, more than anything.
ball breaking came knew squeeze visit wrong
It came on a breaking ball. I knew something was wrong right away. When they came out to visit me at the mound, they put the ball in my hand, and I couldn't even squeeze it.

I think they were surprised to see me go back out there. I was under the impression I was going three innings the whole time.
finger healthy season
I'm healthy as can be. The finger is a non-issue. With the way the season started and the way I was going, it was just rolling, like a snowball going down a hill. It was disappointing for what it could have been.
anytime definitely
Anytime you can go 9-1 in 13 starts, it's definitely a dream. I don't think I've ever had this kind of run.

I don't know how many months or days it's been. It's nice to get back on the horse.
pitch serious surprised
Initially, I was surprised for one, and I didn't know if I wanted to pitch there. With the acquisition of Padilla and Millwood, I see they are making serious strides.
frustrated games perform playoffs
You play 162 games, get to the playoffs and not perform the way you want to. We're just frustrated more than anything.
