It makes me feel good to know that it was recognized by my manager,
agree busting close days liked office past piece respectful stick tough wrong
They called me into their office, they said their piece, I said my piece -- it was very professional, just tough to take. They were respectful to me. Did I agree with their decision? No. I would have liked to stick around. I told them that over the past 10 days I had made big strides, was close to busting out and that they were making a wrong decision.
comfort factor felt
It's a comfort factor for me and my family. I felt this was the better fit.
ball extend hit nice spot throw
It was nice to be able to throw the ball and hit a spot because I can extend my arm.
adding anytime everybody fastball forced happen instead saying seems trying
Everybody was saying that my fastball was down, so I was trying to make it happen instead of going back to the basics, ... Anytime I've ever forced it, it seems to take away from it instead of adding to it.
beat best confidence developed few good knew matter side teams yankees
The confidence to beat the Yankees developed over a few years, ... Finally, we got to where we knew we could play with these guys, but at the same time, we knew that if we were going to play with the Yankees, we were going to have to play our best game, because they weren't going to give any slack. Now it's the same way here. These are two good teams who are going to go at it hard, and it's going to be entertaining, no matter which side you're on.
best course either means pressure resting understand
They have to do what's best for them, first and foremost. And if that means resting guys, then I can understand that. Does that put more pressure on either team? Of course it does.
against guys joe knows rough trying
I'm just trying to show these guys I can be an important part of the bullpen. I had a rough first half, but I think Joe knows from the times I've competed against him that I am a competitor. If I'm right, I can help.
good rest stuff
If I go out with that kind of stuff for the rest of the year, something good has to happen.
against feelings held ill management onto wrong
I have no ill feelings, I just want to do well against them and show them they made the wrong decision. I'd like to show management that they should have held onto me.
add earlier generate kept saying slow speeding taking throw trying velocity year
My leg-kick was always slow and deliberate, ... Earlier this year I started speeding up. They kept saying my velocity was down and I was trying to do something to generate it. I'm going back to the basics. If you're going to throw hard, you've got to let it happen. When you try to add on, you end up taking off.
