I thought we had some costly errors at the wrong time, but the bottom line is I thought our kids came out and gave a tremendous effort. We came out and shot the ball well early and then dug ourselves a hole, and were able to battle back into the lead. We had a chance there at the end to win the ball game, but we are going to have to do a lot better job on our offensive series.

I was a little bit skeptical because this kid was only weeks removed from having his brain opened up. I asked his father, Earl, and he said the doctors were OK with it, and I double-checked with the doctors.

I was surprised, but I only get that because I had a bunch of kids who knew how to play the game and played it hard for 12 games. This was like an unspoken gift from my team to me. The biggest award was what our team was able to accomplish.
