ball running starts tick time
When you're running the ball so successfully and getting a lot of five-, eight-, 12-yard gains, after a while that time starts to tick away. If we could do that every game, that would be ideal.
confidence guys job matter regardless tight
Really, (the huddle) doesn't change. Not with us. Guys know we can get the job done. We don't ever get tight in there. That's probably because of the personalities in there. Regardless of what's going on, we have the confidence that we can get it done no matter what the circumstances.
base felt good running time
It felt like every time I was running I didn't have a good base under me,
ourselves playing pressure putting relaxed
We're not putting pressure on ourselves like this is a must, must win. (Because) then we're not playing relaxed and loose. We're playing tense.
beat care college five football hurts level team three
Three points, five turnovers, I don't think you could beat any college football team - I don't care what level it is - with that kind of performance. It's uncharacteristic of us, and that's what hurts the most.
pushed saw
When you saw us getting pushed back over things that were non-existent ... come on. I don't know what to say about that.
total
But we had 500 or something total yards, so we're not about that.
ball instead iowa trying using win
I can't really play with Iowa too much, because you don't want to play using yourself. When you play using yourself, you try to get yourself the ball every play instead of trying to win it.
everybody good team zero
We're zero and zero, just like everybody else. We feel we have a pretty good team here, and we've got to keep doing the things we're doing.
along defense excuse involved timing truth work
There's some truth to that. With offense, there's a lot more timing involved and things like that. I would say defense comes along quicker, but that's not an excuse for us not to get our work done.
backs corps game good guys initiative line nice number offensive priority receiving running secret time
Priority number one is no secret -- it's to get the running game back. We know we have a good quarterback in Drew. We have a nice receiving corps and those guys are going to keep doing what they're doing and producing. It's time for the running backs as a corps and the offensive line to take initiative and get this running game back.
head stadium walk
A lot of things are going through your head when the game's getting tight. We had to make a play. Let me tell you something, I don't want to walk out of this stadium with a loss.
goal hear number week win
That's not how we play. Our number one goal every week is to win the turnover battle. We hear 'Protect the ball' every day in practice.
ask fast gets honest mad might pulls taking yards
He's steady. You're not going to see him taking any losses. He might not be as fast as all of us. I'll be honest with you, I don't know how he pulls it off and I ask him sometimes, but he gets yards and you can't be mad at that.
