After eight productive years in Phoenix, he signed with the New York Knicks in 2010, then after agreeing on a buyout with the team in 2015, he signed with the Dallas Mavericks.

There's been injuries to where my perseverance may have gotten overlooked-just my hard work and what I bring to a franchise and to a team may have gotten overlooked. But it's a matter of staying professional and playing the game of basketball and ultimately doing whatever it takes to win a championship for your teammates.
On paper we might be the best team in the league. We’ve got great players on this team who accomplished so much. We just couldn’t put it together.
As a player, you should look at the teams you might want to play for. The city you may want to live in. The system you may want to play in. The economy. The cost of living. Everything. It's about what's best for you.
I have to be 100 percent, no doubt. But I'm itching to get out there. I can't wait to play with this team and see how much better we can be with myself in the equation. If everything keeps moving at this pace and there are no setbacks, I should be out there before long.
