academics call crazy division environment knowing mean passing peace people schools student walked
It was tough, knowing there was Division I schools where I could have walked on or had opportunities to play Division I-AA. They call you a student-athlete; sometimes the student part has to come first. The environment up there and the academics really mean a lot to me. A lot of people think I'm crazy for passing up those opportunities, but I really feel at peace that I made the right decision.

If somebody told me we would beat those teams ahead of time, I would be pretty positive about it but everyone else in South Fayette would say I was crazy. Last year, we were a mediocre team. This year, we're playing real hard and I knew we could surprise a lot of people.

I'm going to start visiting some of those schools and narrow it down. I'm still up in the air.

It showed me what they think of me and how they think I can turn the program around. It meant a lot to me. Anywhere you go, you want to feel wanted. I had a feeling through this entire process that I might end up going there. It was in the back of my mind that it was a school I knew I loved.

We came in confident. We've played some great, quick teams, and Aliquippa is probably the quickest. You need to play your best against this team and we didn't play our best.
