dozen expecting hurt laugh next plays seems somewhere summer teams
Before the deadline, I was kind of expecting to go somewhere and it hurt a lot. Now it seems like there's a dozen teams I'm going to next summer. At this point, you laugh at it and see how the summer plays out.
hopefully
Hopefully I'll get in at some point, who knows?
tough
It's tough when you play as well as they do and don't get a win.
key legs nice played
It's just nice to get in there, get my legs under me and get into a game. The big key was that we played so well defensively.
days either felt few
It was either going to go one way (or another). I was either going to go down and, if I felt healthy, I'd come back. And if I went down and didn't feel healthy, I'd take a few more days and get better.
best definitely effort four games last
All in all, it was definitely our best effort in the last four games for sure.
feels leg mix
The leg feels really good. I'm back in the mix and I'm healthy.
both coming easy high low main point rink similar talk talks tells
I think the main thing is we are pretty similar personality-wise off the ice. We're both pretty low key. We don't get to high or too low at any point at all. We like coming to the rink and having fun. It's easy to come in and talk to him and see what's going on. He talks about kids. He tells me what's going on. It's just a real easy relationship.
against cleaned good played possession rushes
We played well. We had a lot of possession and we did a lot of good things. We kind of cleaned up after the first, we cleaned up the odd-man rushes against us. You try to take the good with it.
good hard ice pounds sure test
It is more important to get on the ice than to do my testing. I'm sure if I was 40 pounds overweight, then they'd want to test me and give me a hard time, but I'm in pretty good shape.
both exhibition fans few fresh good great happy hockey mad nearly players quite resentment saw season seem shows toward
From what I saw at the exhibition games, there isn't nearly as much resentment as I thought there would be toward us. I think that shows you how hockey fans feel. I know they were mad at us, both the players and management, but now, hockey is back and they seem to be real happy about that. It's a fresh start, and hopefully, a new season that will be a good one for us. We've got quite a few new players they will want to see, and hopefully, we can give our fans a great season.
advantage attention control last ourselves paid trouble worked
We worked real hard, and we were able to control territory. But we just kind of got ourselves in trouble at the end of shifts. It's those little things -- which we have been doing fantastically the last 6-7 games. We've really paid attention to it. Unfortunately (last night) they were able to take advantage of it.
behind eight knowing played points pressure three tonight
There was not as much pressure on me tonight knowing I hadn't played in a while. At the same time, if we had lost, we could have been eight points behind three teams.
