I think that Pickens County will do their best to address the facility needs and the teacher salary needs. And I think in five years we will be very competitive in those two areas. But even so, with the number of teachers retiring and leaving the profession I think it's going to be an issue statewide as well as nationally.

Obviously we are going to every recruitment fair in the state of South Carolina that we can get to. We're trying to get out there and recruit just as hard as we can.

There are two things in our district that we need to work on that would help us recruit the best and brightest and that is to increase teacher salaries and improve facilities.
